The curriculum was designed in workshops which included not only health officials, but also many health organisations working in this field (including Senkari, the Qatar Red Crescent, the Medical Education Council (MEC), the Orient organization, and Physicians Across Continents PAC). The project began on 3 October 2015 as a pilot, the institute is delivering nursing education to nearly 50 students.
The curriculum covers the following:
· Child & Adult Nursing
· Community Medicine
· First Response Basic Emergency
· First Response Advanced Emergency
· First Response Delivery Emergency
The IAN institute mitigates the effects of the crisis on the health services provided to the Syrian people in the region by qualifying the health workers needed through short-term and long-term trainings.
